Unitary Patent

The German parliament passed the draft legislation on 26 November 2020 and has thus taken a huge step towards a speedy ratification of the UPC Agreement. If the Bundesrat (Federal Council) approves the act in mid-December, the Unitary Patent Court could be set up in 2021 and the Unitary Patent system could be fully functional from 2022.
