Dr. Johannes Schmid Appointed Lecturer at KIT

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has appointed our partner Dr. Johannes Schmid as a lecturer. Beginning with the summer semester of 2026, he will teach the faculty’s patent seminar.

The course provides students with an introduction to the fundamentals of patent law. In particular, participants will learn about the structure of a patent application and how technical innovations can be protected by patents. In addition, the seminar provides insight into the importance of intellectual property rights for research, technological development, and the successful transfer of innovations into industrial practice.
